Xex West Osaka Italian restaurant

For a special occasion this maybe a good place for you to visit. Xex West in Osaka. It’s not a casual place and I believe you should wear something formal. When you call to make a reservation ask about the dress code.

There are 3 different sections of the restaurant, bar section, Japanese section, and Italian section. I went to the Italian part. The waiters and waitresses said things in Italian, but of course they spoke Japanese with the customers. I didn’t check their English ability. However, at an expensive restaurant like that, I’m sure they have someone who can manage. You don’t have to push a button or yell out anything to get their attention, if you look up and want something, someone will rush over to ask what you would like. Yes, it’s that kind of place.

The atmosphere is really nice, which is probably the big selling point of this spacious place. The service is great too with their almost telepathic ability to know when you need something. They also have a good collection of wine, about 2,000 bottles. We went for dinner and had 2 glasses of champagne, 3 appetizers, pizza, pasta, dessert, and 2 coffees. Cost a little over 20,000 yen. I would say that’s reasonable for 2 people for a special occasion.

1134 International Bar

Recently I have been finding myself here a lot. It’s a little difficult to find and you have to walk up some stairs but I usually have a good time whenever I go. The bartenders are all really friendly and they got a nice little space there to drink and dance. I believe you can request music as well. And if you want a free shot of alcohol stay until 11:34PM! Sometimes it’s crowded and sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it gets a little crazy in there. If you are lucky you will see!

All you can drink system

This is a place we are going to try next. It’s located in Sanomiya and on the way to Tokyo Hands. Basically you can drink alcohol for 90 minutes for 1,480 yen and sit on the patio. It might be fun place to hang out and check out the view. If you know what I mean!

What do you guys think of the all you can drink, all you can eat system here in Japan?

Any Pokemon Go fans? Ikuta shrine, nishimomiya gardens, Okamoto are good places.

Near the big stations there are usually many pokestops. I don’t know why there are always people near ikuta shrine in sanomiya, but it is clear they are all playing Pokemon go.

Another good place is near Okamoto station. Actually it’s more accurate to say between Okamoto and setsumotoyama station. (Hankyu and JR.) I got 3 snorlaxes there within 1 week!

When it’s hot you probably don’t want to play outside. Nishimomiya gardens is a nice mall with many pokestops and a/c! It is near nishimomiya kitguchi station l.

Osaka too is a good place to play.

Osaka Wheel Expocity – Good dating spot?

This is the biggest ferris wheel in the Kansai area, maybe even Japan. It takes about 20 minutes to go around. The bottom is see through so you can see everything. I am afraid of heights, so I told the staff to give me a mat to cover the floor. But I ended up still very nervous. Inside there is an a/c, some cup holders, and a small TV. If you are looking for romantic place to take a girl on a date. This would be a good spot. There is also a big mall with a bunch of restaurants.

What are some good dating spots that you have discovered? Let me know.

Fugu/blowfish is so good! With Japanese sake and fugu fins.

Ever since I saw the Simpsons episode with the fugu, I wanted to try it. Recently I finally had the chance! It’s a little expensive but worth trying. The bill turned out to be about 10,000 yen per person. (about 100 bucks) It might be rude of me to say this, but the texture is close to chicken… Still, I would eat it again.

Also there is an alcoholic beverage called “hirezake”, Japanese sake with fugu fins. You have to light it on fire before you drink it. It was aromatic and savory. I had 2 cups. Lighting it on fire before you drink it was very fun too.

Kamukura – Soup with Noodles – Umeda

Need a quick bite? Stop by this not so pricey ramen shop. It’s clean and quick. There are also a good amount of seats available. (Mostly counter though.)
I usually get the chicken rice with an half cooked egg. High in protein too!

Ramen shop – Sanomiya

Recently I have been eating only at this ramen shop. It’s spacey, cool, clean, and not so pricey. Of course it’s delicious.

Check it out.

Stand Delica Bar – Umeda

Best highballs in the area. For 220 yen you can get a cup or 280 yen for a stronger one. When you go, try a Torys highball! (The fried chicken and fries are pretty good too.)
